Mariam is a freelance ethnic creative designer, illustrator and storyteller from Coventry. She has graduated with a BA in Illustration Graphic from Coventry University achieving a first class degree. Her work is influenced by her multicultural background, using art as a medium of expression while celebrating diverse cultures. In 2022 Mariams ethnic illustration was commissioned by the city of culture as part of the unapologetic project and was exhibited at the opening of the new Coventry train station.
She also works at a sixth form college where she enjoys teaching and coaching young students to reach their potential.
Mariam also hosts workshops in the community believing art can be very therapeutic.
