About

BeeBee Bassey’s love affair with music began in her childhood, when she discovered that while words on a page often puzzled her due to dyslexia, they made perfect sense when set to a rhythm. This unique connection turned her struggle into a passion that soon moved beyond the classroom and onto grander stages.

BeeBee quickly made her mark in the music world, securing the first runner-up spot in the Voice of Cross River music competition in Nigeria and landing in the top five of Nigerian Idol, one of Africa’s most prestigious music competitions. Her talents shone even brighter in 2020 when she claimed first place in the Karaoke World Competition in Nigeria and represented her country on the global stage, finishing fifth in the finals.

As a self-taught guitarist, BeeBee’s music style is a rich tapestry woven from her life experiences and the influences of artists like Jesus Culture, Adele, Hillsong, Beyoncé, Tarriguitari, Sinach, Vicky Yohe, Etta James, and Dr. Juanita Bynum. Inspired by how music became her lifeline, BeeBee launched a mentorship project in 2018 to guide and nurture young musical talents across Nigeria.

BeeBee’s captivating performances have taken her to international stages in the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Now based in the UK, she continues to craft soul-stirring melodies, strumming her guitar and touching hearts with her powerful story and vibrant music.
